Company doesn't invest in its workers. Always cares about its profit margins more.
Support from management
Always looking for the fall guy when a customer is unhappy. Instead of fixing the problem, they rather show you the door.
It's hard to get into a rytem when the turn over is very high.
Freedom to work independently
Lot of micro management. To many layers of upper mgmt.
Communication is fine but constantly dealing with being sold to another company. ..Office Max is the new owner...to moving it's HQ to another state. So much reorganization.
Attitude towards older colleagues
What you being in is what you'll leave with. Don't expect any trainING beyond the basics.
Overall compensation for your work
Don't expect to make a good wage since they try to under bid the field. The salary you get going in will stay the same for years. ..unless you're mgmt. Then you may have a prayer.
Office / Work Environment
Always reinventing the wheel.
Customers treat outsourced people like 2nd class. Nobody will stick up for you.
They frown on OT so that's one good thing if you value away time.
Customers laugh at us because they know we cant delivery on a lot of the promises...and we rather pay the penalty than invest.
It's easier to get rid of someone than to mold, train or teach.
Work is challenging and you will stay busy
Suggestions for improvement
- Take a cut on you profit margins and invest in your people. Happy employees equates to quality work.
