It's on paper, not practiced on it's own employees.
Support from management
Direct manager is OK. Beyond that, I don't know them. You are not important to anyone beyond your direct manager. Just know that you are on your own passed that.
Local Team members are really good with teamwork.
Freedom to work independently
This is your work, get it done. If you do, you'll not be handheld.
Your customers will tell you before the company does.
Females make less money for the same job.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Not aware of any issues.
Not going to happen. The opportunity just isn't there. You will have to leave like most people do for better opportunities.
Overall compensation for your work
Well below market average. You will NEVER EVER get a raise working here. You are nothing to them when it comes to pay and you'll find that out when you start working for CompuCom. Are they concerned about retaining you? No! The turn over rate is out of control. Is that an issue for decision makers? No! They don't care. Actions speak very loud.
Office / Work Environment
It's a customer location, I've never been asked to a CompuCom office.
No idea what is the policy here.
You will not get over time and you must use your vacation time or they get it back.
I'm sure they look just fine to customers. Behind the magic curtain, it's a dark dark place. Moral for hourly people is very low. People leave just as fast as they can because of the low pay.
Job Security and the IT market do not belong in the same sentence.
Standard ramp and door I imagine.
Customer location, no issues.
The best part...If you enjoy IT work.
Suggestions for improvement
- Officers, Managers and all the other people that hold our lively hood in your hands, Either learn to how to start giving a crap about your people or get out of the job you have. If you can't afford to pay people fairly, then maybe consider getting people that know how to better negotiate contracts. Most companies do not seem to have a problem doing so. Being a cheap company to your employees will always effect your bottom line in a negative way. Good talent cost and the ROI gets proven consistently by the best companies in the world. They pay not to have "average". Want to soar? Make that change and watch.
