Expectations are never clear, management constantly shifts. Even if you do everything your boss says, within a few months that boss is gone. The next one doesn't know who you are and asks you to explain what you do and why that's important. Happens every six months to a year.
There are pockets of decent people within the company that work together well. But when management shifts everyone around, it becomes clear you can no longer help the people who used to be on your team. It hurts your new group if you help anyone outside of it.
Freedom to work independently
You can, but at your peril. You have to suck up to whatever boss you have at the time, but you won't know if he (I don't know a female boss at this company) is trashing you at review time.
Never have any idea what the true expectations are for your position. Every new boss tells you something different.
Gets a full zero here. Company is 80% male and proud of it. Refuses to disclose pay inequities. Claims that the 20% female ratio is supported up through management, but I never saw any women in management. If they had females in leadership position, they were likely in charge of the copy room.
Attitude towards older colleagues
People there are decent.
Some people are able to work at home
Never clear when you're the next one to go. Saw lots of good people bite the dust at very random times.
Inclusive / Diverse
They have companies around the world but mainly hire the highest ethnic group in that country. For example, in India they only hire the main ethnic group.
Suggestions for improvement
- CA exists solely to gobble up existing companies and try to merge the product line. There is no attempt at innovation within the company so the new purchases grow stale quickly. Bureaucracy at all levels is ridiculous. Impossible to know how to get noticed for your work, determine if anybody cares.
What I like about the company
got to work at home most of the time.
What I dislike about the company
Toxic environment, no respect for innovation
