Support from management
When trouble came, they were very attentive, fair and understanding.
Everyone in the company made sure that I was ok and I was apart of a growing global team.
Freedom to work independently
They were confident in my abilities and allowed me the flexibility to learn new things without breathing down my neck. When I would call for help, they were open and kind to help me.
Very Fast Response. Never had problems with communication.
Office / Work Environment
The company was great. The location I worked was hositle. I think the company should do better in investigating the current working enviroments and the people working in the depts before sending contractors there.
I came across great people in different depts. Only my current dept. was hostile.
The offer online to assist with the growing of your skills. Also, The position for me was monday through friday from 8 - 5 and didn't have to work weekends/holidays making it easier to go on leave town for short vacation trips, go to church, be at home more and not worry about calling off. The only thing about it is that they do not have PTO or vacation pay. You would have to set aside money to have when holidays come and when calling off days for vacation.
The contract was about almost a year which was great and consistent income and I gained new skills, however, it was difficult to get new work because of limited contracts in my area. CTG was adamant in making sure that even though I didnt get any new work that I get unemployment by which they instructed me to file which was the easiest process ever of getting unemployment through a company.
The location I worked at was excellent when it came to safety even making sure that we didn't allow other people to violate our safety rules to protect ourselves.
Inclusive / Diverse
Although the company is strong in diversity, the location I was sent to work as a contractor was not very good when it came to understanding and accepting different races even though we had a diversity dept. Nowadys, the issue of diversity is rearing its ugly head in these so called equal opportunity employer like places. By law a company can't discriminate or sibliminally show signs or predjudice but it is not reality. Companies really have to dive into the process of knowing their employees before hiring them.
