As a group we all bring a different personality to the job... and all in all it works quite well.
Support from management
We are a really busy operation, but for the most part management keeps us in the loop and supports us during any changes.
People can be very tunnel vision and only want to do what they want to do, but not everyone is like that.
Freedom to work independently
It is nice that no matter which location you are in if you are given a task management does not hang over your shoulder because they trust that you will get it done to your best potential.
A lot of the communication is relayed via inter-office email. Things can be misread or taken the wrong way or misunderstood. Being a busy practice also means there can be a delay in response time. For the most part, just the person to person interaction is missing.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Our providers all work together. Many instances one provider will call another in to consult on cases that they are dealing with.
Working in a private practice leaves growth limited. There is always more to learn but as far as positions go there are only but so many seats to fill.
Overall compensation for your work
Money is always a touchy issue. CDG definitely pays you and there are benefits.
Office / Work Environment
Every office has its own personality, style, and feel. All offices are bright and happy places, very pretty to the eye, and welcoming.
CDG is very family friendly. Most of us end up building friendships and spending time together outside of the CDG walls.
I am proud and honored to work for CDG. I have had several jobs throughout my lifetime and can honestly say working with CDG is not just a job it is a career path for me. I have gained so much through my experience with the practice... something that I cannot put a value on.
Job security is a fable. Everyone wants to believe that they are irreplaceable, but the truth is rather simple do your job to the best of your ability and CDG will support you.
This practice has grown so much and is still growing that I learn something new almost everyday. It is exciting and fast paced and I feel good about my own growth since I have been employed here.
Inclusive / Diverse
Ideas are thrown around by staff for many things, such as the christmas party and other special events (mother's day, screenings, etc.) It's nice to have little things happening that boost the morale and make a happy work place.
What I like about the company
I enjoy the network of people that I am surrounded with on a daily basis and that each person has taught me and helped me to grow.
What I dislike about the company
The lack of face to face communication can leave you feeling like a faceless pair of scrubs.
