Heavy emphasis on what helps the company only, not its employees or customers, if the energy was reveresd they would see much better results.
Support from management
Leadership lacks in this company unless you are not hitting goals, then the leadership will live in your store, and not in a helpful encouraging way.
Great within the stores employees, not so great with help from outside your 4 walls.
Within stores its great, from outside its emails 99% of time and those are always forms to sign on new policies benefiting company only, not its employees.
Nevr saw a woman in upper management in my time with company.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Lots of long time workers in stores I worked in but no extra loyalty extended them, make numbers or be let go.
Saw a lot of promotion from with in but with a large tunover number new people dont make it long enough to be promoted.
Overall compensation for your work
Benefits are okay, not as inexpensive as you would.expect for size of the company. Pay was always on time but not equal to hours worked or what was expected from you.
Office / Work Environment
Nice stores, most remodeled, kept clean.
Long hours, longer around holidays with 6 day work weeks, families are of little concern to the employer, manager divorce rate is extrmely high. Vacation days are fair. Holiday hours are a bit extreme but its what benefits the company. Recently started opening on Thanksgiving taking away from more family time.
Its all in the name is what most current and past employees say.
Zero stability, new hire classes are always full, its a revolving door policy.
No wheelchairs in any stores, furniture is supposed to be wide enough for wheel chairs,emphasis on supposed to be.
Pretty good on watching this.
Any sales job is challenging and rewarding, Conns is no different except if a customer defaults or turns out to be a false deal by no fault of associte they are still the ones who end up paying back the money for the sale ensuring the company gets compensation for sale one way or another.

None that I ever saw in 2 years.
Suggestions for improvement
- Care more about who keeps you in business, be fair to all associates, if one associate is monetarily penalized for a bigus deal, someone in finance approved them, they should share equally in the pay back. Work/life balance needs to be focused on.
