- Offer more insurance benefits, offer monthly rewards for those who stand out, make application process easier because there are talented people outside who could help the company grow and success, do better than expected
What I like about the company
If you are a good software engineer, you are among the kings of the hills at my company, it is an engineer-driven company without a doubt, the perks are ok, good food options at the cafeteria, the company does quite well, our work that lead to company`s sccess is reflected in bonuses, is easy to move around within the company as long as you are in good standing, regarding work life balance , if you do what is expected, you will be fine at least for a handful of years, working a roughly 40 hour work week i possible and many people do it, employees are competitive, if you excel and work your butt of, you will be compensated and promoted, if you let yourself be a code monkey and just sit coding with your head down all day, you will be fine but won`t advance
What I dislike about the company
Don`t dismiss emotional intelligence and adaptive leadership, they are not just catch phases, you need great managers and leaders in order to build great companies and develop great employees, the people who may be brilliant at solving technical issues ma not be the best candidates for management, lastly, don`t forget that there is already a pool of incredibly talented people within the company, continue helping them and encouraging career advancement.
