CooperRiis is a very uncomfortable, unwelcoming environment to new staff and new ideas. There is one way to do things and it’s the “OoperRiis” way. The old guard call themselves “culture holders”. Wreaks of exclusivity.
Support from management
Leadership team is basically reasonable people trying to do good by their team. Upper management and psychiatrist are condescending and outright inappropriate without recourse
The lower levels of staff are generally good people but with little experience and just “do as their told” and grumble.
Freedom to work independently
Manager at Asheville is unable to allow for independent function of staff. She micrmages everything and is not skilled
While there are hundreds of emails and ad nays rum meetings daily, nothing is ever accomplished. Every thing must be “discussed” and only the culture holders have any say in anything.
Men are respected much more than women

Zillicoa site is crowded, dirty and outdated.
You are expected to be there 9 hours a day and since it’s open 365 forget spending time with your family on a holiday. Oh but you can invite your family to come to the CR holiday!
Looks good. Looks are deceiving
At will termination. Tremendous turnover
Staff works hard but a lot of time is wasted here

- Redefine leadership. Bring in skilled clinicians and focus on providing great treatment.
What I like about the company
I love the treatment concept, and believe in it. CooperRiis is not the one to provide it.
What I dislike about the company
This company does not believe in psychotherapy and the disdain runs deep. They charge a lot of money and it’s run like a sleep away camp.
