Suggestions for improvement

  • Better training for remote employees. Training for people managers. Address situations where employees are continuously working way over 40 hrs a week.

What I like about the company

21 PTO days to start with and many benefit options

What I dislike about the company

The culture is horrible. Many, many overworked, dissatisfied people with no hope for change. Folks need to be able to use their PTO and actually have time for a life outside of work. People managers need training to be good managers. Don't promote people into positions they aren't equip to handle.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Overall compensation for hard work. Bonuses would be nice as the recent surge in work is causing everyone to put in extra time and work

What I like about the company

Everyone is extremely helpful. If you need help finding an answer to something someone is always willing to help or at least direct you where you need to go

What I dislike about the company

Sometimes switching departments can be difficult. The company is growing a lot and workload is high, so there are a lot of negotiations between departments on timelines for when you can leave a current department for a new one

Suggestions for improvement

  • We need a better working system. Right now my job is very manual and it would help if we had an updated system to take away some of the manual labor.

What I like about the company

I am able to work from my home. The managers I work under are very worried about keeping their employees happy. I was compensated for my hard work with a 10% raise this year.

What I dislike about the company

I think there are too many levels of management, so it takes a long time to accomplish anything, such as an improvement to a process, or a better system.

  • To hire people only if they need them, to us it seemed like most of were hired to be analyzed and fired instead of given the opportunity to grow. Luckily, I was kept on as long as I wanted however most people I knew got let go for little to no reason.

  • More training and time to implement new process and procedures would be given.

What I like about the company

Like any company, there are ups and downs, but with Covance there is ample opportunity for career and personal growth while earning above average salary. The benefits are good and on par with industry standards.

What I dislike about the company

Across platform integrations are not always smooth in transition. More time to review all aspects of what needs to be integrated and what is needed to ensure a smooth transition would aid in the end result.

  • Should work to make sure workload is balanced amount the dept. only a select few are the work horses and work long hours.

Good pay, always learning new stuff

What I dislike about the company

It seems to be hard to promote within the dept so many times there is a lot of moving around of dept in order to progress. They should work on promoting within be dept rather than outside of it
