My supervisor did as he was told and so did the staff. However, nothing that was done was ever really good enough. By this time we were all fed up.
Support from management
Myvoriginal boss was great. The owners were so unprofessional and unorganized that my boss couldn't take the stress. They fired him and most of the staff. They made a counselor the program director. Throwing impossible deadlines at him. He completed every task, but because the owners fired here once they found someone to replace him. I think that the owners are very racists. Majority if the staff were black and were replaced using a poor excuse.
As a staff we all worked very well together. Despite the company's owners making unprofessional and Indecisive decisions on changes with in the conpany ,with expectations of change in an impossible deadline only to be changed back.
Freedom to work independently
When there were no sudden changes everything was great. However, I guess due to budget cuts they demanded all of the staff to do extra work even if it was off the clock. Overtime pay was out of the question.
Communication between the staff alone was great. Any issues were handled in a professional way during our weekly meetings. However, communication between owners, staff, and patients were horrible. We the staff would get short notice of price changes, anything involving drastic change, therefore we would have to deal with the irritated patients. Which led to bad reviews on the staff reviews. Lose lose situation.
Race is an issue. Replacement of my entire crew proved my theory.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Not a problem with my original boss, but it was clear that things were different after he was gone.
Overall compensation for your work
Wages and salaries did not meet jod description. Everyone got paid at different times depending on their bank. Couldn't afford the healthcare.
Office / Work Environment
The building is falling apart. There is mold from water damage in the nurses office and throughout the building and the ac unit was needed to be replaced. Winters were harsh for the staff in the back of the building.
They made patients drive through harsh weather conditions. There may be preventive protocol now, but when I was there many patients couldn't dose due to weather and went without medication for a few days. All could've been prevented if they cared, but it's all about the money.
Hours are unusual, but workable. Vacation time was available however, certain people, meaning myself, couldn't take a week off do to lack of staff in my department. I had to space my time out 2 days at a time.
The staff was great. The image does not reflect the reality do to drastic and constant changes.
You never knew.
Training was provided to those who needed it.
My patients made me happy.
Inclusive / Diverse
