What I like

Store manager gets min 45 hours a week Low volume store manager is hourly which means you do get over time every week!!!

What I dislike

Hard to reach goals with limited hours Salaried store managers are often used elsewhere in their district to help the struggling stores which means they work long hours and more days a week without the extra pay With the bare minimum hours each store gets its very hard to stay on top of even the basic store standards needed to maintain customer appearance and service Low pay at all levels of store staff Hourly SM doesn’t qualify for working holidays and getting OT for it Disconnect from Corp and store level on what’s even possible to get done with the hours being cut every year Bigger SQ FT stores struggle even more causes there’s more product and more space to keep filled up yet no extra hours Most days it’s just a cashier and manager during a shift running it all which Leads to longer wait times for customers and work not getting all done for the day

Suggestions for improvement

Understand what’s needed to be done in your stores, cutting hours to the bare min but asking for work that requires more hours means everyone is working 200% and burning themselves out quick Understand that the larger SQ FT stores need extra bodies to maintain that space
