Overall compensation for your work
The pay was ok, but not enough stable hours to notice a difference. PT hours given which decreased the hourly pay value
Suggestions for improvement
- The company does well, but if they need help w/ admin work, they should present an incentive that would make someone stay. Things may have changed since then.
What I like about the company
It's a family oriented place. The business doesn't have any more than 8-10 employees (counting owners), so there's a tight niche here. People there have been there for years.
What I dislike about the company
The hours were very limited compared to everyone else there. At the time, everyone else had been at DCR for at least 5 years. I started PT and was barely given anymore hours. I went on maternity leave, but I didn't qualify for benefits and employer didn't help (even though I was "reliable"). I was there longer than any admin assistant and I was still put out in the cold. What makes matters worse is I came back after having my baby. Talk about loyalty.
