Company Culture

Company treats its employees like robots.

Support from management

Lots of turn over, management included. 90% of the management in this company is clueless, don't expect any help.

Teamwork

Limited ability to confer with coworkers that have previously spoken to a customer/left notes in a file

Freedom to work independently

Every breath you take is micromanaged.

Internal Communication

policies and procedures are constantly evolving. Most changes are communicated via emails, which you will not have time to read.

Overall compensation for your work

Compared to other insurance companies, DV pays below the area average. Health insurance is horrible, you are penalized for using sick time, ect.

equipment is horribly outdated, slow

lots of paper waste

Work-Life Balance

Lots of mandated overtime, limited notice. Heavily penalized for taking sick time that is part of benefit package. Difficult to get approved time off during holidays.

Company Image

people with less education and experience will get promoted over more deserving applicants because they brown nose

Company has been sold 2x in the past 10 years

Handicapped Accessibility

bathroom can't accommodate wheelchair accessibility in main office suite. 1 working elevator. If elevator is under repair, disabled employees must take freight elevator, and then run the risk of getting reprimanded for using the freight elevator.
