Support from management
No leadership support. The supervisors do not resolve client conflict, they make the situation worse for clients and staff. Unrealistic targets are set for workers due to being under staffed. No staff is involved in decision making.
There is no equality. You have to be in good with supervisors to not get picked on even if you're doing a great job. Some people don't get their paycheck if their status isn't high enough after the company started going bankrupt.
Overall compensation for your work
They were taking money out paychecks for health insurance and retirement, however no one had health insurance and retirement money was not getting paid.
Office / Work Environment
Poor. Old building, low dim lights, heating and cooling either off or broke, low privacy, unhappy employees and clients.
No assistance is offered to staff in this area. It's only when something goes wrong, staff will get updates.
This company has a bad community immage.
The turnover rate is very high. There is no job security. The place may close.
The building is old and has mold. It is a safety hazard because the company won't turn on the air and with the building being so hot, it has caused on site medical emergencies.
Suggestions for improvement
- Be honest with employees, be honest with clients, allow employees to create positive enviromlnments, try to seek knowledge about updates in mental health and share with staff. Allow younger minds to help run the company. With old employees experience and young employees knowlegde, enthusiasm, and creativity the company could have went far. Most important thing is to treat employees with dignity and respect. We all feel that stopped long ago. We don't care about company secrets, we just want to do our job.
What I like about the company
The clients. They all need help and sometimes staff is their only support.
What I dislike about the company
The are not honest about anything. Things are constantly being covered up. There were no benefits and money was stolen from hard working employees. Suprrvisors were grandfathered in and no one has real up to date training. It is also not offered. The CEO runs the company and nothing gets approved without this individual. People have left and the company still owes them money for regular wages, retirement, medical, and gas mileage reimbursement. No employees are happy to come to work. Checks are paid in money orders, but previously we received direct deposit.
