Freedom to work independently
No they had what they called 200% accountability. Meaning two supervisors had to be present at anytime in order to touch a tool to begin a task. In their defense this was a response to several accidents happening in quick succession.
Actually women were treated better, kept longer, and had significantly more opportunities for advancement, however only if said women was not ugly,so yea not so great.
Few if any opportunities for advancement in the company past job supervisor.
Overall compensation for your work
Good pay but no benefits, no sick days, no vacation
Job could be over at any minute with no warning. In fact I just got laid off after being told I would be definitely working for another 4 monthes.
What I like about the company
What I dislike about the company
They have no future for most of the people working for them. Opportunities for advancement are few and far between and seem to depend on if you are an attractive woman or if one of the bosses takes a liking to you. Time in doesn't do anything to get advanced. I've seen people get a supervisor qualification in the first year or moved to administrative assignments without the position being offered to anyone else. There is no way to know when you will be laid off so just assume you will be laid off tomorrow. Do not listen to higher up's telling you that you will work because that is probably when you will get let go.
