Company Culture

As noted before; there is a concerted effort to do so but it becomes clear that one must be careful and circumspect to the "office politic'. Having both line and management experience; it is not clear to me if managements efforts are being sabotaged by some individual lower level 'leaders' or that managers truly are facetious and see some value in relying upon individuals who have little or no interpersonal skills.

Support from management

Initially I was impressed with my direct supervisor and there is a concerted effort by managers to be personal and supportive.
However, it is superficial because managers appear to rely upon a select clique of individuals to pass only personal observations and it immediately fosters mistrust and atmosphere of gossip and innuendo. Even among the 'clique' there is disharmony and gossip. It is pervasive and unproductive.

Inclusive / Diverse

My previous experience has primarily been with Human Assistance agencies and I feel uniquely qualified to see the value of diversity having worked with and for a very diverse socioeconomic clientele.
It pains me to state that while there some diversity of personnel; it is clearly an Asian dominant staff. Perhaps that could be that others refer their friends to opportunities but with such a largely Asian staff there becomes a cultural divide. Asian speak either Hmong or one of several Asian languages and quite frankly; Hispanics and English speaking staff are not comfortable when others seem speak a language they are not familiar with. For better or worse it has become a sort of an unspoken issue among staff.
There is a meme at Dealer Track that you don't have to be Asian to work there but it sure helps. I once had some personally refer to the campus as "Little Saigon"
