Support from management
Many individuals left our dept due to a manager who was very critical, did not understand many of our job functions and failed to assist when support was requested.
Some employees has excellent work ethics wartime others failed to take initiative and performed the bare minimum. Even worse, were those who placed their job responsibilities I, others.
Overall compensation for your work
Insurance premiums are extremely expensive and each year there was a decline in benefits in multiple facets.
Office / Work Environment
Lack of breaks and a proper lunch led to employees regularly feeling "burned out."
Suggestions for improvement
- It would benefit Dean to take better care of their employees, (all employees, not just the doctors) so they can properly care for patients. After all, employees are patients too. In an effort to keep down "the rising cost of health care", try to divise strategies to minimize stress in the workplace (appropriate staffing, work/life balance) and perhaps health care costs will start to fall, as many illnesses are stress-related. It's certainly not a cure-all, but it seems like a great starting point.
What I like about the company
I had access to a wonderful health care team. The doctors are amazing.
What I dislike about the company
They operate too lean. There is not enough staff support resulting in denial of time off requested.
