Great culture in the beginning. Declined over the years even tho they still preached it daily. Originally it’s what made them great!
Freedom to work independently
Although they micro-manage excessively with phone calls, conference calls, forms that have to be filled out at installs and checked (graded) by managers...on and on.
Depends on what needs communicated. All the stuff that effect the managers and technicians negatively, (ALL THE PAY CUTS), they put off as long as possible.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Old managers and old technicians have “old habits” and they’re all about change whether the new stuff works or not. Out with the old, in with the new. The new doesn’t know the old, tried and true ways.
Promoted from within, from tech to top tier management in the early years, started hiring from outside when they got greedy. People that didn’t know anything about our job...all the guys that worked they’re A$$ off for years to get to the top all of sudden getting demoted back down to keep their jobs.
Overall compensation for your work
Started out awesome!! You were paid nicely for all the time, travel and work. They appreciated the fact that the managers and technicians were the core of the success. Then they greedy and the money and incentives got less and less. $25,000-$30,000 less a year with the same amount work and responsibilities was the final straw. And I mean my entire branch (Fort Worth, Tx) left! As well as the ENTIRE Dallas branch...Gone! Super Star rated employees...SEE YA!
Office / Work Environment
Drama, drama, drama. Created thru the constant, unnecessary change.
They say they work hard to have a good balance but it’s all smoke and mirrors. NOTHING is more important to them than getting another install in.
Top ADT Dealer in the nation. Had to “Change our name to create our Brand”. Read the reviews. The employees know the reason.
This is a joke! Best techs in country one year. Goals keep going up and up until it’s a struggle for guys to meet them. Put them on a performance plan and get rid of them if they fail. Nobody cares if they’re the same techs that have been top performers and made the super star trip the last 5 years.
Love the work, my team, and meeting different people every day.
Suggestions for improvement
- IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DONT FIX IT!!! You idiots took a great company that EVERY employee LOVED working for and was loyal to and ruined it with your greed and BS. Lost practically every super star tech and manager that you had that put the numbers on the board that made the company successful because you lost appreciation for THEM and what they did FOR YOU! Change DOESN’T have to happen! If it’s working like a champ, LEAVE IT ALONE until it’s not!
