Two culture types at the firm, both of which lead to high annoynace and turnover: the good 'ol boys club and new-age millennialism. The former is rampant among Senior Managers; projects are often executed in a manner that mirrors how things were done on other projects or in the past. With the latter, the firm is hiring millennials en masse; their conversations lack depth, their interests are cliche. Offices, to appease this demographic, are switching to open-floor-plan concepts where very few have actual offices and people work at long tables side-by-side.
Support from Management
The firm struggles with hiring managers who are able to actually manage: solve conflict, stick to a budget, establish rapport with subordinates, create a sense of comradery among the team, and maintain motivation. Managers and Senior Managers are solely interested in pleasing engagement partners no matter the cost.
