Delta Airlines TechOps service support Organization culture is cutthroat. Manager wears a cowboy hat and carries a stop watch. Performance is base on how fast you can cutthroat your fellow employee

Support from Management

The only support from Management is provided with a coaching secession (if you know what I mean !!)

Fellow employees squeal on each other to management as team work

Suggestions for improvement

  • Take a look at the health and wellbeing of the call center employees. It is not very good overall. Most people are always exhausted or they have chronic medical issues. That job used to be a 6 hr job back in the 60's and 70's. It is even more stressful than it used to be back then and you cannot keep on piling more and more duties on each person. The employee survey does not allow the employees to say how they really feel and the management never asks us. I was recommended to seek counselling if I did not like certain things and the way they were. They even told me they had to do the same thing. We are just given alot of information every day but not allowed to have an outlet to tell you that you are wrong about anything. Its not humane and its completely life consumming. These employees have no energy left to do much of anything else but work. Please look for a better way to operate the call centers. Most of the people there don't know there could be a better way. Im thankful I don't work there any longer. I have my life back.
  • Reduce the required hrs for this job and help people enjoy their lives better. Dont keep saying the same thing over and over again. Find some other companies where the employees are happy and healthy and have energy to go home and communicate and do things with their families. There are alot of companies that do this better.
  • Its better if the Management and supervisors try and speak in quieter voices since this is a call center so that we can focus on our customers and not loud background noise on our side much less the background noise on the customers side. I now have a hearing problem. It does not run in my family.
