I had a great manager but he was in Minneapolis. Most of the other employees treat you for what you do and not for what you know. DSG people get no benefits other than hourly pay and expensive medical insurance. DSG is a way for Delta AirLines to get cheap labor that they can let go at the drop of a hat. Yes, there is a chance that you could be brought in under Delta and get benefits but it almost never happens. There were several computer technicians who did their job well and were given verbal promises that after 12-18 months of employment under DGS, they would be hired into Delta AirLines. Some waited over four years and the transfer never materialized.
Freedom to work independently
I enjoyed great independence because I was the only person who did my job. I had no help so if I wasn't there to do my work, it didn't get done.
