Communication from the top-down is terrible, communication often differs amongst units in the same section.
When funding is available, training is allowed but is not encouraged because the supervisor usually signs up first without giving anyone else a chance
Office / Work Environment
The temperature variation from room-to-room and within the same room throughout the day is terrible. The power and IT systems are unreliable
I am fortunate to have a supervisor who is understanding to work-life balance needs.
The work can be cumbersome and never-ending, backlogs are an issue.
Inclusive / Diverse
Ideas that don't conform to management's preconceived ideas are not well-received.
Suggestions for improvement
- I would like to see improved communication and taking rank-and-file employee complaints and recommendations seriously.
What I like about the company
I enjoy the actual work I do, and I work with some pretty incredible people. On-site covered parking is a great perk.
