Poor attitudes between supervisors, poor training and no manual to assist with understanding the process of assisting taxpayers, too many chiefs and leadership is so mis- managed and the abuse of power is overwhelming.
Support from management
Just do it and it might not be correct but get it done. If it is wrong, it can be fixed.
You could have a better time if management would allow the missing link of peers to bring you up to date on assisting taxpayers all the same way.
Freedom to work independently
Micro manage is the norm is reason why things looks so confused.
You are given based on need or the area of needed. Management do not rely messages via email in case you are out (vacation/sick). You hear if based on mistakes.
special treatment for males in area since mostly all females in title positions.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Supervisors seems to be ignored by clarifying certain instructions, directions and task asked to do.
None given because claims work load and availability of staff
Overall compensation for your work
Task are not compensated based on information in specs. Taxpayer Services performs credit counseling, financial aid services to taxpayers.
Office / Work Environment
Not user friendly. When you are a target, not safe just come in and ready to leave.
Air quality is poor; freeze in summer and weather sometime you will get a little heat for weather.
Just get out and leave it there.
Known as prison and rude
You have to do something really, bad or drugs in order for anything to happen.
Work area allows for only one taxpayer and if have a wheelchair scooter , they block the isles and less privacy.
Allow multiple taxpayers in small space and when they are irate- no protection!
The work is rewarding however not doing enough of seeing repeat taxpayers with same returning issue
Inclusive / Diverse
Just stay at your desk, no walking in areas you don't need to be and you don't get to see who is your neighbor. Only notice Caucasians in better kept areas.
Suggestions for improvement
- Customer Service training for supervisors, all are not meant to be leaders. Training of functions to make sure the representatives are all on same page of delivering service to taxpayer with correct information. Shadowing opportunities allowed for representatives seeking growth in other areas.

Medical, union involvement and the co-workers I have helped me on my journey.
What I dislike about the company
Leadership in department; structure is none, communication and some directions that are given without reason.
