I had no positive experiences working for this company. However, the pay wasn't horrible for the work that was expected of me.

The pay scale, the union employees not being held accountable for their mess-ups, the drama and most of the management

  • Improve morale, stop treating rank and file folks as disposable idiots.

What I like about the company

They did have paid training and if you have a good director at the top, it was a good place to be. It might go back to being a good place when the current director leaves. Most of the longtime employees were hard workings, nice people.

What I dislike about the company

The current director is borderline abusive and prone to yelling at people. Leadership is the problem and morale is low.

  • Work culture and environment needs to be updated and brought to current times. Bland cubicles for eight hours a Day was not enjoyable.

What I like about the company

Great benefits while working with the company. I also really liked the team that I worked with.

What I dislike about the company

I did not approve of the job training aspect. There was also no upward growth or promotion opportunities.

This is a government agency. There are rules for the rules. The bureaucracy can be tedious.

What I like about the company

I am a seasonal worker for the state revenue department during tax season. They make all their seasonal workers feel important. We have potlucks and a great employee week which they give away prizes. They appreciate the help they get every year and want us to come back.

What I dislike about the company

I wish the season lasted longer.

  • Secure all areas where employees are working since our company has the potential to anger people, who could retaliate with violence; build a parking deck so that employees do no have to walk a long way (and an even longer way if they shut down the parking lot for functions); recognize and appreciate employees more; ease up on strict policies, which only say the company does not trust its employees to get their jobs done;

  • Allow employees to work from home on days it is not necessary for them to be in the office.

What I like about the company

The majority of staff is willing to assist at any time. Job is consistent, but changes enough to keep you interested.

What I dislike about the company

Communication from Manager is lacking at times. While the manager knows a lot about laws, etc., there are HR policies, etc. that is not known. This is mostly because there is little staff turnover, so it is rare for him to have to do things for "new" employees.
