Company Culture

The company had great employees. All social workers helped their families and their team mates. The management was the problem. They lied instead of taking accountability. They didn't care about your family at home or if you had a doctor appointment. They didn't care about the clients served as long as there was no over due report. Upper management didn't have a social work skill in their body. Rude to workers and clients and liars

Support from management

Teamwork

A supervisor used to try and change documentation if a case went bad and say the worker didn't tell her. We kept a copy of everything and the system can now be time stamped

Freedom to work independently

My supervisor trusted me but a lot of my teammates had faTalities because they wouldn't argue with upper management.

Internal Communication

Our team talked together and could call each other to discuss a case or management. We were slammed with cases and would high five each other but upper management never complimented. We were doing the casework of 3 workers and not being paid extra.

Gender Equality

Yes. Def more woman than men and all supervisors are females

Attitude towards older colleagues

Everyone was about the same age

Career Development

I flunked out of college the first time so the forgiving school of social work won't acceot me! The irony

Overall compensation for your work

I carry a lot of cases and we don't get paid overtime

Office / Work Environment

Had a desk and filed are accessible. It was cold in the winter but that Was the building

Environmental Friendliness

Recycling containers were set up

Work-Life Balance

No. We worked late and early. Worked holidays and weekends trying to make sure the community was safe and families cases were being closed on time

Company Image

I do great social work

Job Security

Some departments are being contracted out so it is scary watching some people leave

Handicapped Accessibility

The agency was open to the public so it was accessible

Workplace Safety

Work place safety training

Challenging Work

Keeping kids safe and families together is a tough job. You have to be sure you are doing your job because you are working with the lives of other people. We can give hope or shatter hope. We can help build a stronger family or destroy a family if we are not great social workers

Inclusive / Diverse

We had to embrace diversity because we are social workers. Ideas were listened to. Opinions were nothing but opinions. We don't remove kids based on opinion

Suggestions for improvement

  • Office moral, not having time wasting meetings and making employees work late after, let people social work, praise employees for working hard

What I like about the company

My workers were my best friends. I love my career and the clients I serve

What I dislike about the company

Management lies, HR lies, making decisions when they are not in the field
