Lots of activities and fun days made working there bearable
Support from management
The department I was in did not accept non-management opinions. No consultation with employees
Good communication between employees lower on the totem poll within the department but company lacks interdepartmental communication. Wasn't allowed to discuss department issues with other departments making the job tasks difficult to complete in an effective and timely manner
Freedom to work independently
Every decision had to be run by the director or manager and couldn't resolve issues independently
As far as I know, gender equality is above average..probably because the company was started by a woman.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Senior colleagues were valued more than younger ones
Not much room for growth
Overall compensation for your work
Decent, better than most places I suppose.
Office / Work Environment
Beautiful building, modern and clean. Ample parking.
Lots of waste materials.
Personally, I did not have pressure to work overtime but I have seen many that were. An onsite daycare would be a nice addition, many employees have one or more family members that also work there.
Many people were let go after the unilever acquisition
Environment is safe and pleasant to work in
It was challenging only because of the lack of communication between departments
Inclusive / Diverse
Diverse groups of races and religions.
Suggestions for improvement
- Communicate and allow for employees of different departments to communicate and work together
What I like about the company
It was a very nice environment, food available for purchase, decent pay, great benefits. Fitness allowance was a nice bonus
What I dislike about the company
There is horrible interdepartmental communication and more emphasis is placed on finances and marketing than quality of products
