Are you a Current or Former Employee? Former job since 2013
DeVry may have been a respected technical school years ago, but having both worked there and studied there, I feel that the quality of the education there is absolutely inadequate (and drastically overpriced), degrees little-respected in the industry, and, and they seem to target students who can't hack it at conventional colleges and veterans (for their educational benefits).
Suggestions for improvement
- Stop with the 8-week (7-week+1 for finals), once-a-week class sessions and poorly-proctored 3-post a week online discussion forums and get serious about education and academic integrity. Get up-to-date textbooks for the classrooms, especially for IT and computer classes. Fix the terrible wi-fi network and get used to the fact that many people now have Macs and stop expecting them to do everything on Windows. This is a shameful situation for a technical school, and the students wake up to it very quickly.
