Support from management
Central Station Manager was not a great leader. He played favorites with people he liked and then let these people walk all over him.
On any period during the day, there were 6 employees on duty, but 2 or less were actually doing their job. The rest of the employees would be on his/her cell or talking between themselves.
Freedom to work independently
People chose how much work they wanted to do.
The higher up management didn't have a full grasp as to how ineffective the workers were and it caused a great deal of turnover.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They hire a lot of older workers.
Office / Work Environment
Rats and roaches crawling across your desk. Enough said
There were times people would call out and a person would be stuck to work a 16 hour work day then be back to work 8 hours later.
Suggestions for improvement
- Be more responsible for your workers. In Central Station, there is no accountability and all the workers are lazy. It is a shame and a disgrace the President and Vice President have such terrible workers when they are great men.
What I like about the company
The company provided plenty of overtime because so many people would quit.
What I dislike about the company
Anything you could think of I did not like.
