You would get a thank you and a please work harder because money always need to be coming in at all times.
When dealing with current office manager, her needs and jobs must be met, even when it meant putting off patients to comply with demands. Abusive actions were asked to be tolerated by Owner/Doctor.

The employees were always informed of what needed to be done, and when needed to work harder, even after providing exemplary performance.
There is no advancement in this office.
Attitude towards older colleagues
During the hiring process, the applicants are weeded out by age, as to not interrupt anyone's schedules.
There is no career development or chance of advancement.

Office / Work Environment
Computers needed to be upgraded for specific programs, but money would never be spent to upgrade the system.
You are not allowed to leave spontaneously for important occasions. Sick days are barely permissible. The job trumps everything, as to not inconvenience anyone else working there.
I always followed protocol of encouraging return of patients, even when patient did not need nor could afford treatment.
Job security was a plus, due to the fact the office manager did not want to go thru a hiring process.
One applicant was not hired due to the fact of her size. Saying she was to large to handle treatment or move between patients.
I would be forced to perform ultrasounds on older patients that had soiled their undergarments, until I finally refused.
Work was always challenging due to no training or support when learning new tasks and still maintaining current tasks at hand.
Inclusive / Diverse
If you can implement ideas to increase the income for the business, those opinions are allowed to be given.
Suggestions for improvement
- Fire/retire the office manager and create a work environment that is better managed. Create a reward compensation for the employees. Follow regulation and guidelines for a workplace environment.
What I like about the company
When I originally worked started at Dicks Chiropractic, it was under staffed for 3 months. I worked extra hours, with minimal training to half of my position. I was previously trained at a prior chiropractic office, and was able to start with that knowledge. The harder half of my position, I was given no training, except deciphering notes from previous employees. I self trained myself, and learned the software programs, finally with the help of a tech support and trial and error. I loved the patients, and cared very much about treating their needs. I would also offer support and helpful ideas to give patients relief. The patients are what I miss about working there.
What I dislike about the company
The doctor and the office manager were very controlling and demanding. I was asked to tolerate abuse, even when it was displayed in front of co-workers and patients. I had to increase personal medication to deal with the workplace environment. I was promised an increase in wages, that was never provided. I devoted my personal time and would work well over the required work day. I was not compensated at times for this work. My health grew worse due to work conditions, and I was declining in my performance. I was reprimanded constantly, and given no grace. The office manager would reprimand co-workers for helping in simple mundane tasks.
