Business and marketing teams are engaged and fun to work with; yet IT was where I worked and culture was somber and not empowered

IT management is weak and does not support or attempt to enable their team(s)
Many groups in IT tend to be short sighted and do not share with other teams. Several significant platforms leave out key stakeholders to serve their own agenda.
Suggestions for improvement
- Begin fostering leaders in IT rather than bosses. Challenge your IT leaders to empower their teams and develop true growth/career plans. IT feels very stale and unempowered.
What I like about the company
The company is great at encouraging employees to volunteer, and has decent benefits. The company offers employees free parking and work life balance is also nice; however the salaries are lower than market.
What I dislike about the company
IT management is weak and does not empower their teams, which probably speaks to the high turn over.
