Depending on who you are working with/for depends on whether or not you can trust the person, if they are fair or not, and whether you are given praise for your work.
Support from management
My supervisor was unable to make a decision on her own and was not open to new ideas.
The company as a whole would rather work against each other than with each other even though they were all working toward the same goals.
Freedom to work independently
You are either given an unreasonable amount of work to get done in a short amount of time or you are not given anything to do.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Depending on your supervisor is depends on how much appreciation you are shown.
Overall compensation for your work
Wages do not match the responsibilities but are always paid on time. Benefits are offered.
Office / Work Environment
The buildings are nice, they technology is dated.
Vacation time can be taken any time as long as you give enough notice. You work holidays and are always asked to pick up shifts when someone calls off. The company is more worried about the almighty buck than the employee and their families.
Most employees have more negative opinions of the company than positive.
I was always proud of what I accomplished.
Suggestions for improvement
- Pay your employees based on their skills not based on trying not to hurt someone's feelings. Give credit where credit is due. Please allow yourself to grow with the times and not be stuck in your old school ways.
What I like about the company
The friendships I made with some of my coworkers. Depending on your manager/supervisor there may be flexibility in your schedule.
What I dislike about the company
They don't pay enough for all of the responsibilities they expect you to take on. No one ever says good job or what a great idea. If you want to get promoted you should plan on waiting 10 years from the day they tell you that you are getting a promotion because they are all about the hurry up and wait.
