Suggestions for improvement
- We should host more staff meetings that include ALL employees, rather than breaking it down into clinical, medical, and administrative. Any changes in policy should be communicated to all of of our staff (and clients) in a clear and concise manner, as quickly as possible.
What I like about the company
You gain a lot of experience and perspective working with the clients. I loved the flexibility I was given to work with clients one on one and in a group setting. I learned of many different resources (outside of the company) available to our community. The best feature of this job is being able to witness the (positive) change that occurs in many of the clients lives. It can be quite challenging and exhaustive at times, but it's totally worth it once you see how you've helped changed their lives.
What I dislike about the company
There's a total disconnect between different types of staff (Medical, clinical, administrative). It's frustrating to go to bat for an individual, knowing them personally, and having others respond to the situation as if the client is just a number. Simply put, some of the staff could be more open-minded and not so quick to judge others without knowing them and their situations.
