Each Agency has its own culture. However, the common theme for the District government is dog eat dog world. Employees are left to defend themselves while managers are positioning themselves to obtain the next promotion.
Support from Management
I've worked at 2 different agency within the District government, the leadership at both Agency do not posses the bandwidth for becoming leaders. The management here are too busy trying to elevate themselves rather than building the team that will help maintain and/or obtain their career high.
