With the exception of certain persons in management, the overall company culture is actually pretty good.
Support from management
Again, management leaves something to be desired. The VP's need to be examined and graded by those that they supervise.
Not as good as it use to be.
Freedom to work independently
Depends on the position.
Internal communications can be improved by reducing the number of staff meetings, and possibly increasing the number of employees to handle customer requirements.
Attitude towards older colleagues
The older you get the more likely you will be replaced with a younger cheaper person.
With new technology comes the requirement to be available for more hours a day and off times are fewer.
Suggestions for improvement
- Provide exit interviews for all employees being terminated. Determine if their termination was for a valid reason. If they are not being terminated for a valid reason, the person initiating the termination should be penalized.
