- Donation Door Atendee29.Jun 2016
Goodwill gets donations for free which they resale for much higher than what they are really worth , and still give most employees just minimum wage for back breaking work
Support from management
Don't expect a lot of supervisory help , while they are nice and friendly do not ask them for help they will patronize you for asking for their help .
Other employees will help you but ultimately it's dog eat dog to get promoted .
Lots of communication but things change daily one hand doesn't know always what the other is doing .
Office / Work Environment
You will deal with dirt , dust , mold, bugs, excrement, on a daily basis .
They are really good about scheduling you if you're a hard worker .
This job is not challenging. Take donations in sort the good from bad ship it down the line , basic physical labor .
Suggestions for improvement
- Better pay for all employees , a set of absolute regulations on what is acceptable and what is not . More room for promotion and training .
What I like about the company
The job was relatively easy , they are pretty good about giving you time off . There's a little cafe on site , with pretty good food and amazing hot chocolate.
What I dislike about the company
The pay is not great for the work you do . You will be exposed to almost everything at some point . Management is often even confused about what is accepted and what isn't.
