Management does nice things for contributors- picnics, team building, etc. There are pockets within company that work well together and seem to enjoy their day. Other departments are run by bullies using negative reinforcement and intimidation. Work load is not evenly distributed. If you work hard, you get more work so "favorites" can get prime assignments, to leave early, etc. If some of those managers left it would be better but they are not going anywhere.
No departments compete with each other, very little collaboration
