Are you a Current or Former Employee? Former job since 2016
Very cliquish. Favorites get their choice of days and hours they are willing to work and can go on a vacation any time they please, even if they have no vacation time accrued, while others have to jump through hoops to take a vacation day, unless, of course they are in the housekeeping department and are told to use their vacation hours for the days they are sent home because it is slow. Those same people are told to not go to the unemployment office when their hours are cut because the regional manager, Sara will be mad. Some people don't work for weeks or months at a time and are brought right back and other people are bumped to accommodate those people. No breaks for front desk people, and they are required to wear dress shoes and stand on a hard plastic mat all day that does not meet OSHA requirements. The only time they are allowed to be out of site from the guests is when the housekeeping department brings them loads of towels to fold, or to run and find rollaway beds or take towels or close the pool and clean up popcorn mess and trash at the end of the night. You have to take the phone with you at all times, even if you sneak to the bathroom. Don't even worry about advancing. You will be talked to like you are going to be advanced, but in the end, someone who doesn't work as hard or is as flexible will be promoted.
I like about the employer
