The job itself was fun. Rewarding, even. The Management...Not so much. An Excellent starting point for people (mostly Gen Xers and Millennials) who want to get the hell out of retail, restaurants, and other soul-crushing dead-end work, and into a (fairly) serious job. My advice? Do it. Stick around for two years, enjoy ACTUALLY helping people, and doing something meaningful. But after that, GET OUT!! Try to find similar but better paying jobs ASAP. Do so because unfortunately, even for a small company, they're NOT big on promotions, NOT above petty office politics, NOT into new ideas, and especially NOT into pay raises!!
Suggestions for improvement
- Yearly raises. Happy employees are more productive employees.
What I like about the company
They'll take almost anyone, and will actually teach them a skill they can parlay into other careers.
What I dislike about the company
Stagnant job growth, and constant micro-managing.
