It was great when it was Dynabil. Managers do not spend anytime getting to know their employees anymore them and team leaders are all cooped up in a room somewhere reviewing your statistics in an ERP system, they aren't out getting to know you personally.
Support from management
Leadership in this Manufacturing plant consists of people who dropped out of high school, have no technical background, and in most cases couldn't help you change a tire.
The lack of employee development at this plant has made all of it's employees so unmotivated it's unbelievable.
Freedom to work independently
If you want a job making the same 10 parts 60 hours a week apply now. I you have a family you want to spend time with look elsewhere. The work load never calms down. We have been on an "8 week burn down plan" for the past 6 years.
I didn't see my manager for maybe 3 months at one point and during my review several time I was being evaluated on a job I didn't even do. Sounds crazy but it's the sad truth. For most of my career I did jobs well above my pay grade and they didn't even know.
Overall compensation for your work
benefits were good, but climbing every year with the excuse they can't afford it. They make millions of dollars the owner gave himself a million dollar bonus in 2014 look it up.
Office / Work Environment
The company just moved into a brand new building that is suppose to be world class. Wouldn't you believe there is guys walking around in 3" of water in the 5 axis waterjet rooms with no ventilation, breathing in garbage for mandatory 50hrs a week. While emails are being sent out by management about someone drinking Gatorade on the shop floor and how they cannot be doing that since it's no world class.
You can't have a life outside of this place. It seems to be prohibited because the nobody there is capable of handling the work load by means of an actual schedule that is doable.
They do put out a good "image" what's behind closed doors is different
They have no problem letting you go to get someone else for cheaper.
Everyone goes through safety training once a month on different topics, but nothing is ever followed. Once after and ergonomic safety coarse I asked my team leader if I could get a different height adjustable table for my drill press this guy laughed in my face about it.
The work is very repetitious. At first it seems challenging, but that feeling is short lived
Inclusive / Diverse
They say everyone's opinions are supported, but
Suggestions for improvement
- Take care of the people doing to job, invest training in them. Stop preaching standard work, and start preaching skilled labor! Show a want for your employees to be experienced, and valued, not just some button pressers. Everyone there has this depression about them because they don't feel important in the work they are doing. Corporations suck everyone is so worried about the stock holders and making money. I worked away 6 years in that place trying to do the best I could do and had to fight every step of the way. Not respected and held back on moving up in the company on any technicality they could find.
What I like about the company
I don't miss the place one bit
What I dislike about the company
Everything they preach making people believe they have some kind of future there. Glad to have moved on. I was held back my entire career there.
