Suggestions for improvement

  • Some of the purchases made at the buying office do not correlate with the sporting goods business but are purchased because they are profitable. There are plenty of opportunities within the sporting goods field to purchase to keep the company profitable without purchasing silly gimmicks.

What I like about the company

After having worked for several other retail organizations, I feel that my job is safer since the company is privately owned versus publicly owned.

What I dislike about the company

The company is very reactive versus proactive. I believe if they took a few steps towards being a more progressive company, they would be able to set themselves apart from other companies within the same sector.
