Suggestions for improvement
- Skill based pay would encourage employees to reach goals, and keep them motivated to do good work. And then when they reach a goal they should be compensated for it.
What I like about the company
People are friendly and everyone is accessible, except the county commissioners don't really know what the employees need, frequent denial of raises for employees but continued lowering of taxes and increases in job duties. This does set you up to get a higher paying job in a surrounding county though.
What I dislike about the company
My position specifically is paid 20% lower than the state average and it's pretty much like that county wide. The county needs to assess salaries and make them more competitive if they want to reduce turnover. I'm tired of hearing "well that's Duplin County" I don't deserve less because I work here and the citizens shouldn't expect less.
