The bank is fairly new and unfortunately I did not feel the proper growth during my stay.
Support from management
Empty promises are all that were offered during my tenure.
At the time, the team environment was second to none.
Freedom to work independently
The bank had no customer service department and as such all issues needed need to be addressed on at the branch level. Unless you are very organized it will be difficult to succeed.
The bank does not have a sales mentally as it were. The mentality is that of organic growt, which is good, but not when you must learn the bank's system on your own. The main branch management was by the book and rigorous, which makes employees fear for jib security. I'd like to thing I was a very strong performer. I am currently in the top three performers for a much larger financial institution.
I was hired with he prospect of developing my career. When the proposed time frame had elapsed, there was always an excuse (eg: "there's not enough money in the budget" to support what we initially had in mind)
Overall compensation for your work
Salary was good. Bonuses were a joke. No sales incentives.
The job was very by the book, and but due to the age of the institution, changes were constant.
I developed very good networking connection based on the people I brushed shoulders with. But the position offers only busy work.
