Suggestions for improvement

  • Sometimes you have to consider whats good for the Employee and incorporate that into "the business"

I like about the employer

I enjoyed the work I did. Lotsa free tshirts and fed us well at parties. Best thing they did was United Way campaigns.

I dislike about the employer

The Management was aweful. New Manager every year like clock work. Company/Told many lies. I believe they were not fair with us older employees.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Eaton has dragged Cooper from a legacy company down to a hyper-corporate daily grind. Employees need to love their jobs again, but this cannot happen until logistic log-jams get permanently unstuck, and employees are given enough leeway to focus on, and thoroughly enjoy, the work that they do.

I like about the employer

As unskilled labor jobs go, this employer isn't a bad option at all. If you're changing careers, or just getting started, Eaton will start you out on the third-rung of the ladder.

Support from Management

Management (not leadership)sets attainable goals but will not follow processes put in place. Rather than working toward the goals over time to make overall improvements, management flex's schedules/training/manning only enough to meet current customer demand. Thus, making no long term improvements. When monthly/quarterly goals are due, there is a big push to meet the numbers set in order to attain goals. This in turn creates issues that must be dealt with at the start of the next cycle. This then repeats over and over. Making long term improvements takes a backseat to making last minute decisions in order to achieve goals.

Team members who create the most discontent among the team are in control of their areas. The threat of legal recourse from individuals allows them to continue to behave inappropriately and adversely affects team members.
