I liked the location. I liked some of the coworkers. I enjoyed the challenging climate and the rapport I had with clients, vendors and coworkers. That being said, there was little else I enjoyed about working there.
I did not like working here. I only worked there for 8 months after leaving a job I had worked for 8 years at. The office work atmosphere is toxic. Many extra hours which were compensated, were required. The morale of the office was often times low and tense. Even when workers do a good job, they are belittled and made to feel unhappy. From the time I worked there, there was a turnover of at least six people. (The office only had 5 employees). The owner is unpredictable and often times unreasonable. Also, the owner brings numerous cats to the office at any given time in a very small space. This was not conducive to product work environment. Many people had allergic reactions to the animals, which would jump up on work spaces constantly, knocking over supplies or loudly meowing or crying while one is trying to work. The owner would never speak privately to anyone, but would announce loudly so all could here whenever she was displeased about something, which was often. I have worked for many people over the years and by far this was the worst experience I have ever had. I have been in the work force since I was 15. I am 52. There is a constant sense of blaming people for whatever she deems as lacking for the moment. It sets each employee against one another.
