I like about the employer
I have never worked in a place with so much favoritism. Rules are applied for some and not for others. Management is the main responsible for that. Promotions are done for the ones who are friends with management instead of the ones who are qualified. The HR Manager from 2008-2012, now transferred to a Ritz in South Beach used to incentive employees to report their co-workers. HR Manager w the help of General Manager, covered for concierge of their circle with the worst attendance record, bringing him to the Ritz Carlton with her.
At the time we had the most vicious Front officer Assistant Manager. Many calls were made to Corporate, many times corporate came to the hotel to interview employees who were in dissatisfaction with the treatment.... Still, between the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager & the HR Manager, they managed to transfer her to Santo Antonio, Texas, instead of firing her.
The Eden Roc - Marriott for 6 yrs was rated as the last one among ALL Marriotts on the yearly employee's survey!!!
