Company Culture

The company doesn't really offer you a place to sign up for other schools to sub with. They say you can, but there is not bridge to those schools.

My school district didn't give us a choice about the new company, so yes, the present employer is okay. Except there's a person who continues to call me by my last name instead of my first name.

My position depends on the quality of subbing I provide.

Some positions are tougher than others, especially the behavior & para pro sections. It would be better to have a higher pay.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Online training should cover more of the behavior issues found in public schools, from talking back, screaming in the classroom and etc. Meet and greets should take place in the district areas where subs work, not at the main office or on facebook. It's v

What I like about the company

The company offers workman's comp if you get injured on the job. It's not very much money and it doesn't pay the bills but they do let you choose the doctors you want to see. If you get excluded from a school the administrator of the company will call you

What I dislike about the company

The pay is way too low for living in Arizona. With subbing you still have to have a second or third job, but it really depends on which districts you sub for.

What I like about the company

Was very helpful during hard transition and downsizing was given opportunities that are not offered by a lot of companies and corporations. Most corporations to no offer advancement opportunities. Corporate America should be more flexible for employees and offer opportunities that all not only help the employees but also should help the communities. Good professional opportunities to not come around often enough for the good employees and their surrounding communities
