I can only speak from my experience. There is no open door, even though they tell you there is. There is no support for the employee. The supervisor does not commend employees and, talks about them behind their back as if the employee doesn't know. The environment is demotivating. The manager of the area, degrades people if they don't do the job like them. Apparently, sales likes the other department to do their job, presentations including the strategy, which is what sales gets paid to do. I cannot say there was fairness. And a micromanager doesn't give the employee a feeling of trust.
Support from management
Targets are not always realistic and no they do not include the employees in the decision-making process. If you don't meet their target, even if it's unrealistic that quarter, you are pushed out the door.
