Everyone is out for themselves
Support from management
No leadership, no organization. Lawyers pit the subordinate employees against each other. Favoritism toward non minority employees.
No such thing as teamwork. No standards for creation of documents. If you start something, you are entirely responsible
Attitude towards older colleagues
All lawyers are old, only 2 admin staff are young and minority, lots of disrespect and "talking down to"
No moving up unless you plan on being a lawyer. Even then, clients will be passed on to their lawyer children, no chance of taking over any clients of not related by blood.
Overall compensation for your work
Low pay, horrible health insurance with high deductibles
Office / Work Environment
Office are new and clean, but technology is out dated. IT team not very knowledgeable. Information probably not as secure as it should be for a law firm
Not at all. Unfortunately comments are often made that can easily be interpreted as racist or prejudiced. They're too old to accept being politically correct and therefore come across incredibly insensitive and crass
No balance. You are expected to be available 9am-6pm and remotely.
Office is understaffed so time off always disrupts business, causing friction with superiors.
Not at all challenging....just word processing, minimal accounting, mind numbing paper pushing
Inclusive / Diverse
