Suggestions for improvement
- This county department needs to work on communication, integrity, honesty, building trust, and being up front with new employees. As an example, I was treated with immense disrespect and felt "trashed" on the day I was let go with no warning whatsoever. I was called into a meeting that was to be my six month review. I was prepared to be reviewed and to be honest about the things that were working for me and the things that were not. What I was told almost immediately after sitting down in that meeting was that my job was being eliminated as it was not progressing the way they had hoped. I was then told to get my personal things and leave immediately. I was given no warning and no opportunity to get specifics. I felt totally betrayed.
I like about the employer
They were initially welcoming and supportive.
