I like about the employer
Good mission, passionate people, reasonable leave policies, good insurance, interesting industry and technology strategy. Many employees are there because they love higher education.
I dislike about the employer
Culturally homogenous by location -- US offices are heavily white and male. Minimal minority and female representation in senior and executive management. Female employees trend towards traditionally female departments like HR, Marketing, Tech Support. Stateside technical roles are heavily male and white.
All projects are underresourced and overcommitted. Full time employees regularly work over 40'hrs/week, in spite of commitment to Agile principles and work/life balance. Increased focus on hiring for technical skills rather than domain knowledge. The projects and products suffer and mission is diluted as percentage of purely technical employees surges.
