The bigger screw ball you are, the more likely you will get a promotion. They do not appreciate true hard workers. You can be let go just because they don't like you, wrong color, too fat, old etc. People with 18+ years of service were let go before young people who had only been with the company for a few months. This was just recently due to a slow down of orders. Get rid of old people and bring in younger ones. Not a good culture.
Support from management
Where to start. A good leader should lead by example. The president sits in his office all day with no interaction. The VP of Operations is arrogant and only loves himself. He could care less about the company. HR- Whatever the president and VP of Operations wants is what goes. It is very unprofessional.
No management cohesiveness. The current management does not work well with each other. They talk about each other behind their backs. Very unprofessional.
Freedom to work independently
They are going to do what they want and that is all that matters.
Management talks out both sides of their mouth. Vary rarely do what they say they are going to do.
Unfair practices. Especially for minorities or if not part of the Boys Club.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Unfair treatment. Get rid of older employees and keep younger ones when things slow down.
Office / Work Environment
Not too bad. It's a Foundry-what do you expect. No Hollywood.
Totally not socially aware.
Only when things are extremely slow, like now. Otherwise, depends on who you are.
Fake management. Smile to your face but not follow through on anything.
If your male, young, play golf & run triathlons, you are golden. Otherwise, be cautious. Be very cautious.
Management doors, especially President and HR are always shut.
It's suppose to be number one but violations from some get no recourse.
No room for growth.

Non inclusive. Biased treatment for employees depending on who you are.

What I dislike about the company
Current management has ruined the culture and livelihood for many people. Poor morale as management has displaced many good people and kept the ones who golf, run triathlons, or kiss butt. Mistreatment of minorities.
